Fan Survey Results

Plymouth City Patriots would like to thank everyone who completed the recent Fan Survey, as the information gained will help the club with our planning for the future.

We received 296 responses, and it is excellent to see that 97% of those who have been to a game in the past season want to return in 2024-25. It is also very encouraging to find out 45% of our fans have only been coming to games for one or two seasons, so it is great to see the club developing a growing fanbase, of which, 69% of our spectators are families.  The fanbase is crucial to the success of the club and we are grateful for the continued support, at both our home games and to the 36% of fans who have travelled to away games in the 2023-24 season. Your support both home and away has such a positive effect on the team. 

As the only professional basketball team in Devon and Cornwall, playing in the top league in the UK, it is encouraging to find out that 36% of our spectators live outside of Plymouth. One of the aims for the club is to grow our fanbase and community work across all of Devon and Cornwall and beyond!

Communication is key and it was disappointing to see that 12% of people say they don’t find it easy to get in contact with the club, but encouraging that 88% of people keep in touch with club news through social media. In the past season our main social media reach increased by 249% to 684,000 and our interactions has increased by 156% to 412,000. But we know we can improve and we will certainly look at how we can make sure the club is more accessible, should you need to make contact with us.

Regarding the game day experience, 60% of people rate this as excellent. The merchandise options available are rated as good, but you would like to see more choice. Atmosphere is great, as is the entertainment, but 40% of people say it could be made even better. We will definitely take on board these comments and I have read all of the additional information provided and will use it to look at how we can make improvements for the future.
