𝗜𝗡 𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗬 𝗝𝗘𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦

On Saturday, we were proud to unveil a permanent memorial to 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗝𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, who sadly passed away in May.

Fittingly, Barry’s memorial now has its place in ‘Codger’s Corner’ – the spot where he loved to sit and watch the Posset on a Saturday afternoon.

Barry represented Portishead Town during the mid-1970s and remained a passionate supporter of the club throughout his life. Whether as a player or from the sidelines, Portishead Town was always close to his heart.

The memorial features a phrase that will bring a smile to the faces of those who knew Barry and heard his unmistakable encouragement from the sidelines:

“𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆!”

Joining us for the unveiling were Barry’s partner Janet and son Gary, alongside Ade Green and Nigel Osmond from the club.

Barry will always be part of the Portishead Town family, and now there will forever be a reminder of him in the place he enjoyed watching his football.
