Storm Women’s title hopes go to final day

Hemel Storm Women’s title hopes will go to the final day after victory over Charnwood Riders on Sunday. 

That win guaranteed second spot, and they’re level on points with Milton Keynes Breakers with one game apiece to play. 

The Breakers currently occupy first place after winning the cumulative head-to-head battle by just two points. Whoever finishes next weekend at the top of the standings will be promoted to Division One. 

Storm’s final assignment is a trip to Birmingham Rockets next Saturday, while the Breakers are at home against Tees Valley Mohawks on the same day. 

Sunday’s 65-59 triumph also confirmed Storm will be at home in the first round of the playoffs, scheduled for Saturday 28 March, 3pm tip off at St Columba’s College. Entrance for this game is free so please come along to support.
