Behind the new FC Farsley club crest

Some echoes from the past combine with looking to the future in FC Farsley Sports Club's new badge.

The aim was to provide a fresh and vibrant look as FC Farsley begins a bright new future at Throstle Nest, as well as playing tribute to the textile heritage of the Farsley community. “We wanted something which immediately told the story of Farsley and its community, but also touched upon some of the football club’s traditions as well,” the board said.

“We know the colours are important to our supporters. The ram’s head is a symbol rooted in Farsley’s wool-trade past and the club’s nickname, The Weavers. “It’s about reconnecting with our community and our supporters.” The white rose of Yorkshire completes the crest.

“We feel the badge is the perfect addition to take FC Farsley Sports Club into a bright future,” the board added.
