Match Preview - Chertsey Town (H)
Dorchester Town welcome Chertsey Town to the Avenue Stadium on Saturday (3pm KO), with the Magpies bidding to get back to winning ways after last weekend's draw away to Bracknell Town.
Just three points separate the two sides coming into this Southern League Premier South contest, and Tom Killick's charges will be hoping for an outcome similar to either of their league meetings last season when Dorchester completed a domestic double over the Surrey-based outfit.
Chertsey, meanwhile, will be targeting a much more positive return from their trip to the south coast this time - one that yields an end to a run of form that has seen them fail to win any of their last four outings.
Here's everything you need to know ahead of the visit of Chertsey.
Chertsey In Brief
Founded: 1890
Nickname: The Curfews
Stadium: Alwyns Lane
Capacity: 2,500
Playing Surface: Grass
One To Watch
Jack Mazzone is a prolific goalscorer at this level and finished as Chertsey's golden boot winner last season, with 30 goals to his name. The striker, who has previously played for the likes of the Metropolitan Police and Horsham, has started this season in similar fashion, notching five goals in the Southern League Premier South.
The Gaffer
Player-coach Toby Little was given the top job at Alwyns Lane at the start of October, after the club decided to part ways with former boss Josh Gallagher. Little has overseen five games to date in charge of the Curfews, winning once while drawing and losing two games apiece.
Previous Meeting
Last March, Dorchester travelled to Alwyns Lane in search of a first win in four games, after a run of disappointing results which included losses to Gosport Borough and Hanwell Town.
In a tight contest, the Magpies edged the Curfews 1-0, courtesy of a first half strike from Shaquille Gwengwe. The result would prove pivotal in the end of season run-in as the Magpies secured a play-off finish on the final day of the season.
