Hemel Storm are pleased to confirm the return of Taylor Johnson, a man needing little introduction in these parts, for his third spell at the club.

The 30-year-old Dartmouth graduate landed in England in 2018, suiting up for Leicester Warriors and Thames Valley Cavaliers before signing for Storm in 2021.

His first season ended in devastation, with a playoff final loss to Team Solent Kestrels, but he bounced back in style to lead his side through the unbeaten, quadruple-winning campaign of 2022/23, picking up MVP titles in the National Cup, KitKing Trophy and Division One Playoff finals.

He left for top-flight Plymouth City Patriots at the end of that season, impressing in a brief spell before re-joining Storm for the conclusion of that campaign, helping Mark Clark’s side taste playoff success once more.

Since then, he’s played in Germany and Mexico, competing in South America for Pioneros de Los Mochis and most recently Correbasket UAT. His season there finished last week and he arrived in Hemel on Sunday, raring and ready to go.

Taylor said: “I’m excited to be back home!

“Looking forward to hearing the noise in the StormDome. I’m grateful to be reunited with old teammates and I hope to pick up where we left off.”
