Match Preview - Hanwell (A)
Dorchester Town will attempt to overcome the only side that managed to complete a league double against them last season when they visit Hanwell Town on Saturday (3pm KO) in the Southern League Premier South.
Dorchester boss Tom Killick's side will be looking to back up last weekend's FA Trophy win versus Bideford with another positive result in Greater London. However, Hanwell, as evidenced during the last campaign, will prove a more than capable opponent for Dorchester, with themselves having made a solid start to their season.
Here's what you need to know ahead of Dorchester's trip to Hanwell.
Hanwell In Brief
Founded: 1947
Nickname: The Geordies
Stadium: The Oliver Connell & Son Community Stadium
Capacity: 3,000
Playing Surface: Grass
Ones To Watch
Striker Jordy Mongoy has settled into life quickly with the Geordies, having joined this past summer, and is currently their top scorer in the league (four).
Elsewhere, Hanwell captain and first choice goalkeeper Sam Beasant is an imposing figure between the sticks and brings a wealth of experience to his side, counting spells in the EFL with Cambridge United and Stevenage.
The Gaffer
Chris Moore is one of the league's longest serving figures in the dugout, holding the managerial reigns at Hanwell since 2018.
Moore has overseen a successful tenure at the Geordies, winning promotion to Step Three via the Isthmian League South Central Division playoffs in the 2021/22 season. He has since established them within the Southern League Premier South, securing an 8th place league finish last season.
Previous Meeting
In March, Hanwell comfortably dispatched of Dorchester 3-0 at the the Oliver Connell & Son Community Stadium. The result meant the Geordies were the only side to beat Dorchester both home and away during the 2024/25 Southern League Premier South season.

Form Guide
Magpies - WWLLW
Dorchester come into Saturday's game in buoyant mood, after a 4-0 thumping of Bideford in the FA Trophy. The Magpies will be hoping to bring some of that form into the league, where they have only recorded one win at the start of this season - a 2-0 victory over Yate Town last month.
Geordies - LLDWW
Hanwell also progressed through to the next round of the FA Trophy last weekend, having defeated Grays Athletic 2-1. Their league form of late is similarly promising and includes a 1-1 draw versus Sholing and 5-1 drubbing of Hungerford Town.
Magpies Mind-Boggler
1.) Dorchester and Hanwell have faced each other six times in the Southern League Premier South, since the Geordies were promoted into Step Three for the start of the 2022/23 season, but which side is currently edging the head-to-head record?
2.) Hanwell are nicknamed the Geordies due to their founding by a group of individuals native to a certain northern English city. Can you guess which city that is?
