We are pleased to announce the signing of forward Kobei Moore, who joins the Invermen following a eleven-year spell at Premier League side, Aston Villa.

The 20-year-old frontman, who joined Aston Villa at just nine years old, will add firepower to Nathan Rooney’s squad for the 2025/26 campaign.

With over thirty appearances in Premier League 2 for Aston Villa’s U21 side and senior experience with six appearances in the EFL Trophy, the young striker earned a loan move to EFL League Two outfit Fleetwood Town on deadline day last January.

During his time at the The Fishermen, Kobei made ten appearances, gaining more vital experience in senior football. In April, Kobei got his first goal for Fleetwood Town, scoring against Harrogate Town in their League Two encounter.

Larne boss Nathan Rooney is pleased to add to more firepower to his squad and is excited by what Kobei can bring, stating:

“Kobei arrives with a lot of potential to really kick on.

“He has great pace and an ability to create goalscoring opportunities and he has proven this at Premier League level during his time at Aston Villa.

“For Kobei, it’s important that he comes in and shows that intent to showcase his ability and as Head Coach, I will give him the time to settle and adjust to his new life for the next season.

“I’m sure that our supporters will enjoy watching Kobei throughout the season as he now works on getting up to full speed over the coming month.”

On joining the Invermen for the 2025/26 season, Kobei said:

"I'm buzzing to be here.

"I've been in and around the building for a couple of days now and the culture is fantastic - the players and the manager have been very welcoming to me.

"All of the experiences I have learnt at Aston Villa during my long spell there has taught me everything I know about football and hopefully I can bring those learnings and my quality into our team here.

"On the pitch, I'm a hard worker and I like to create and score goals as much as I can. Personally, I'll do as much as possible to help the team win, which is the most important thing."

Kobei will wear the number 27 for the Invermen this season and with international clearance already recieved, will be available to make his debut in Thursday's UEFA Conference League clash against FC Prishtina.
