🏴☠️The Steel City OG is Back!
As a player, he anchored SCFC’s backline with grit and guile, earning the nickname “Minister of Defense.” As a coach, the club is doubling down on its man after a challenging first season that ended in relegation.
A Rich South High School and Olivet Nazarene University alum, Dillard has earned respect across the semi-pro ranks—and beyond. In 2024, he was named head coach of the University of St. Francis, where he’s already making waves as a recruiting magnet for The Fighting Saints, right here in our hometown of Joliet.
When he’s not on the sidelines for SCFC or USF, Dillard is shaping the next generation of talent as a youth coach for Legacy SC in New Lenox.
Dillard’s determination, work ethic, and commitment to continuous learning are behavioral predictors that has Steel City bullish that its young coach will succeed.
Steel City’s '25 season spans May through July; the Midwest Premier League schedule drops in March.
